What We Need From You:

  1. A physical sample of the color you want the stain to be matched to.
  2. If possible, a physical sample of the NEW WOOD you will be staining. Because the different colors of natural wood, the most accurate stain matches will require us to test the match on the exact type of wood you will be using in your project.
  3. Determine whether you will be wetting the wood before application. If you are looking to create a darker looking stain, this is the type of technique used to open the pores of the wood.
  4. We can recommend the type of varnish to cover our stain after it dries completely. We recommend you to be careful if you decide to use your own varnish. Other brands of varnish may compromise the true colour and result of our stain colour.
